American Psycho casting director reveals shocking reason Austin Butler should NEVER have landed lead role
The casting director of American Psycho has declared that Austin Butler is too 'beautiful' to be the main role as Luca Guadagnino's reimagining continues to divide. It was announced in December that the Elvis actor, 33, would be taking on the role of serial killer Patrick Bateman, the character made famous by Christian Bale, prompting an outpouring of reaction online. Now, Kerry Barden, who was the casting director on the original film, has said that there is another role which would have been more suited for Austin.
