Children's TV presenter Kirsten O'Brien has remembered her co-star, Mark Speight, on the 16th anniversary of his dying.
Speight died by suicide in April 2008 on the age of 42.
His dying shook the nation, as many younger individuals grew up loving his work on the art programme SMart.
Speight turned one of many first presenters of& the CBBC present, engaged on it for 14 years from its first collection in 1994.
Kirsten, now 52, joined SMart within the late nineties and followers shortly grew to love their on-screen banter and friendship.
Paying tribute to Speight on April 7, Kirsten shared a candy throwback photograph of the 2 of them joking round.
She penned: '16 years. What a gloriously funny man he was, and so liked.'

In January 2008, Speight discovered his girlfriend's body, Natasha Collins, within the tub of their shared London flat.
He was later arrested on suspicion of her murder, but not charged with any offence.
An inquest later decided that Collins had died of a drug overdose and extreme burns from scorching water, and it was& dying by misadventure.
In April of that yr, Speight was reported lacking and was later discovered to have taken his life near& Paddington station.
Two suicide notes have been discovered.
Talking beforehand about her much-loved colleague and pal's demise, Kirsten recalled the devastation of getting to announce the information to CBBC's younger viewers.
